(June 9) The Ohio Federation of Teachers have added endorsements to its slate of candidates who support high quality public education and public services that make our families and communities strong.

OFT endorsed Rob Klepinger (D) for Congress in District 10 stretching from Vandalia south to Centerville through Dayton, from New Lebanon east past Interstate 71 and the Jeffersonville area. Klepinger is a member of the Miami Valley Career Technology Center Employees Association, Local 4575, an OFT local.

Klepinger joins former Gov. Ted Strickland (D) as endorsees for federal office. Strickland is running to represent Ohio in the U.S. Senate where he will best represent the interests and needs of all Ohioans.

Previous endorsements include Brigid Kelly (D), Catherine Ingram (D), Jill Miller Zimon (D) and Tommy Greene (D) for state Representative, and Emily Hagan (D) and Kristen Rock (D) for state Senate.

Endorsements are based on a candidate's demonstrated track record of support for the public education and public services that make our communities strong, their positions on issues surveyed by a candidate questionnaire and campaign platform.
