A report summarizing conversations with more than 1,500 community stakeholders and more than 1,000 online comments echoes what our members have been saying about what changes would improve education through the Every Student Succeeds Act. See the report.
The report very closely mirrors what we have been saying about education - namely that poverty has a huge impact on children, more wraparound services are needed, testing needs to be reduced, and teacher evaluations should not depend so heavy on test results. We will continue to monitor how the state plans to use this report in its development of an ESSA implementation plan.
