Requirement for colleges to pay for textbooks eliminated from state budget plan

Amendments to the state budget from the House Finance Committee April 25 include eliminating a proposed requirement for colleges to pay for textbooks. Thank you for contacting your legislators to oppose this plan. We are concerned that amendments flat fund the State Share of Instruction and Ohio College Opportunity Grants, which will increase student debt. The amendments were released today and we will continue to share information as we learn more.
