It is important that the Resident Educator Program have knowledgeable and experienced assessors in content areas for the Resident Educator Summative Assessment. OFT members are encouraged to participate as assessors. Online training and a small stipend are provided. The ODE Resident Educator Summative Assessment (RESA) vendor, Educopia, is seeking nominations for teachers to score the RESA submissions for the following subject/content areas:

  • Visual Art
  • Theater & Drama
  • Career-Tech (all areas)
  • Phys. Ed
  • Advanced Science (Biology, Chemistry)
  • Advanced Math (Calculus)
  • Arabic
  • ASL
  • Chinese
  • ESL
  • German
  • Italian
  • Latin
  • Russian

Assessors must have a minimum of five years teaching experience in either a prekindergarten through grade 12 setting or in teacher education at a college or university. It is strongly preferred that applicants have a current professional educator license or a permanent teaching certificate. More information.

Educators who would like to apply to become a RESA assessor, should send their name, email address and teaching area(s) to Ohio RESA. Ohio RESA will reply with an email that includes a link to a registration page.
